This article is devoted to the analysis of foreign trade in the southern Federal district. The article considers the main tools for econometric modeling of foreign trade data on the example of the southern Federal district of the Russian Federation in order to predict the values of trade turnover in this region for future periods. As a result, we demonstrate a model that allows us to make a forecast of trade volumes for the third and fourth quarters of 2020.
