The disciplines of the mathematical cycle in the framework of economic areas of higher education, including the specialty of customs, as a rule, cause difficulties for students. One of the reasons is the low motivation for studying them, associated with the fact that the professional cycle disciplines use little mathematical apparatus. Simultaneously, modern economic science is focused on the widespread use of mathematical methods and models.
Thus, an urgent task is to develop students' motivation in economic areas of training and the specialty of customs to study the disciplines of the mathematical cycle.
