Andy Cohen and boyfriend Kevin Sobieski have taken their relationship to the red carpet.
The Watch What Happens Live host, 58, and Sobieski, 42, made their first official red-carpet appearance as a couple on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, during a SiriusXM event featuring John Mayer in the Hamptons.
Their night out at Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, New York, comes after more than a year of dating and marks another public milestone in a relationship Cohen initially kept largely away from the spotlight.
The pair had already become Instagram official earlier this summer, but their latest appearance offered the clearest public look yet at Cohen’s relationship with Sobieski.
Red Carpet Debut
Cohen and Sobieski posed together at SiriusXM’s Life with John Mayer event ahead of Mayer’s intimate concert.
They kept their outfits relaxed for the Hamptons occasion.
Cohen wore light blue jeans with a white T-shirt, denim overshirt and white shoes. Sobieski chose dark green trousers, a dark T-shirt and white footwear.
Photos from the evening showed them smiling with their arms around each other.
Cohen had another role at the event beyond attending with his boyfriend. He sat down with Mayer, his longtime friend, for a special conversation before the singer’s performance.
Who Is Kevin?
Sobieski has maintained a considerably lower public profile than Cohen.
He is 42, making him 16 years younger than the Bravo personality. Unlike Cohen, whose career revolves around television, radio and celebrity culture, Sobieski comes from a business background.
That difference appears to be something Cohen appreciates.
One particularly surprising detail about their relationship is that Sobieski entered it without being immersed in the television universe most closely associated with his boyfriend.
Cohen revealed in August that Sobieski had never watched an episode of The Real Housewives.
For the man closely associated with the franchise, that might seem like an unusual situation. Cohen, however, has indicated that he likes it that way.
How They Met
Their relationship began in the summer of 2025.
Cohen has said the pair first encountered each other at a Fourth of July party. He was immediately interested and made sure there would be an opportunity for them to communicate after the event.
Cohen later recalled taking a deliberate approach to putting his phone number into Sobieski’s phone.
What followed was not a highly public celebrity romance.
Instead, Cohen has characterized their relationship as something that developed slowly and intentionally. The two spent months getting to know each other without immediately putting their romance in front of cameras or social media followers.
By June 2026, Cohen was ready to talk publicly about having a boyfriend.
Romance Confirmed
Cohen discussed the relationship on his SiriusXM radio show in June after speculation about his dating life had increased.
At the time, he spoke warmly about Sobieski and explained that they had been together for close to a year.
He described their relationship as deliberate and emphasized qualities including maturity and kindness.
Perhaps most significantly, Cohen revealed that Sobieski had become part of his family life.
Cohen is the father of two children, son Benjamin and daughter Lucy. Introducing a partner into that part of his life was therefore an important step.
He has said the transition went smoothly and praised Sobieski’s relationship with his children.
Instagram Official
Another milestone arrived on July 18.
Cohen posted a photograph with Sobieski from a date night in the Hamptons, effectively making their relationship Instagram official.
The picture showed the couple standing together during their evening out, with Sobieski’s arm around Cohen.
Cohen later explained that the post was not part of an elaborate plan to reveal his boyfriend.
They had simply taken a photograph outside a restaurant, Cohen liked how it turned out and wondered whether he should share it.
He did.
The casual post drew supportive reactions from people in Cohen’s Bravo circle and represented a noticeable change after the couple had spent much of their first year together relatively privately.
No Housewives
Sobieski’s lack of familiarity with The Real Housewives has become one of Cohen’s favorite details about his boyfriend.
During an August appearance on Today, Cohen said Sobieski had never watched the franchise.
Considering Cohen’s decades-long connection to Bravo, the revelation offered an amusing contrast between his professional and personal worlds.
Cohen joked that his boyfriend was nevertheless beginning to encounter Housewives-related material through recommendations appearing on his phone.
More importantly, Cohen has made clear that knowing his television universe is not a requirement.
What matters to him is Sobieski’s connection with Cohen and his children.
Family Connection
Cohen has spoken particularly positively about how his relationship fits alongside fatherhood.
Benjamin was born in 2019, while Lucy arrived in 2022. Cohen frequently discusses parenting and shares selected moments from life with his children.
For that reason, Sobieski’s introduction to them was more meaningful than simply attending celebrity events together.
Cohen has said the relationship has felt easy and has previously remarked on how little conflict they have experienced.
His comments suggest the private foundation of the relationship was established well before the couple started making increasingly public appearances.
A Public Step
The August 26 red carpet does not necessarily mean Cohen and Sobieski are suddenly turning their romance into a highly public relationship.
Instead, it appears to be the latest stage of a gradual progression.
They met in July 2025, spent months dating privately, publicly confirmed the relationship in June 2026 and appeared together on Cohen’s Instagram the following month.
Their Hamptons red-carpet debut now adds another milestone.
For Cohen, who has spent years interviewing celebrities about their relationships and dissecting reality-TV romances on Watch What Happens Live, this time the attention is on his own love life.
After more than a year together, Andy Cohen and Kevin Sobieski are no longer keeping their relationship entirely away from the cameras — and their smiling Hamptons debut made that clear.
